While the British summertime being a rather damp squib so far this year, Monica’s Wrestling Centre brightened up everyone’s lives with a scorching hot summer event!
Whatever the temperatures outside the arena, they were soaring inside as the incredibly talented, beautiful ladies who could not wait to strut their stuff for a delighted crowd of punters ensured we were all treated to a summer spectacular.
As usual, Monica delivered with a cracking line-up which featured the mouthwatering talents of usual favourites and newbies. They came in the shape of Kimiku, Nairobi, Brigit, Petra, Amber, Eva, Luna K and Kassidy and boy, did they all deliver!
The very first contest lit the blue touch paper and set the scene for the rest of the event as that thrilling initial contest was followed by a collection of classics that will live long in the memory of those wrestling fans lucky enough to be there.
Monica’s Wrestling Centre favourite (for getting his butt kicked!) Chicken Boy Dave was the official Referee for the live event and he did an excellent job in one of the rare times he has authority over others!
But, truth be told, the ladies didn't need much hep as they delivered some intense, fast paced, combative, high energy wrestling matches - most of which were impossible to call until the final bell had sounded!
The eight uber-talents produced eight phenomenal matches to deliver a live show of incredible competition high standard and excitement.

Match 1Kiniku v Nairobi
As usual, every Monica’s Wrestling Event live event starts with a real cracker and this battle between two beauties certainly kept up that tradition.
You could tell by their bold and confident struts down the stairs and ring entrance that Kinuku and Nairobi were up for this battle which was sure to get proceedings off on the right footing and capture the crowd’s imagination from the start.
And as soon as The Referee called for the opening bell, they were straight at it, their gleaming smiles and friendly banter masking their intentions which was to take the other down.
Immediately both Nairobi and Kiniku were locked in a struggle as they went to take each other down seeking to gain an early advantage.
They are both quick, strong and talented and this is highlighted as they roll around on the canvas trying to lock their limbs in place and get ahead.
There are impressive attempts to secure crushing holds but also equally impressive escapes executed by the ladies in this frenetic fight.
It’s a glorious back and forth battle as both Kiniku and Nairobi enjoyed time on top without managing to secure those all important submissions that they were seeking.
Throughout the contest we saw breast smothers, head locks, body scissors, head scissors, grapevine pins, face sits, roll up pins, school girl pins and combination holds which certainly left a mark on both the combatants!
Of course, that’s not to say they didn’t get any submissions at all - they were earned skilfully by both wrestlers through an array of different and impressive means.
Both Kiniku and Nairobi impressed in this hard fought and very even match but there was a winner by the slimmest of margins. An incredible way to start the show!
Match 2 Brigit vs Petra
The second explosive clash of the Monica’s Wrestling Centre July 2024 live show saw a confident newcomer take on an established venue favourite!
New York native Brigit certainly wasn’t shy as she bounced her way into the Ring of Pain and looked up for the fight as she whipped the crowd’s enthusiasm up and showed off her impressive figure with a big smile on her beautiful face.
But gorgeous Petra isn’t the sort of girl who gets fazed by such stuff and she proudly walked down the steps and into the squared circle with a huge grin on her face which told us she was more than ready for the challenge.
It turned out both of these two crackers were more than ready as they wasted little time in getting it on after the polite pre-fight handshake!
Both Brigit and Petra clearly wanted to make their mark and they were fighting all over the canvas trying to get the advantage in a frenetic battle which almost saw them roll through the ropes and out of the ring at one point!
These hellcats were going at it and you could tell from the hollers and screams of encouragement that Monica and the crowd were loving the furious contest taking place inside the ropes!
Not only were the two showing off their immense wrestling skills, they were showing how tough they really are by withstanding some painful looking holds as the match wore on!
It was clear Brigit and Petra were well matched and it was even more obvious they were loving the fight - which is exactly how we like it!
Both the ladies achieved success in the tap out stakes but it was one of them who managed to sneak a narrow victory to claim bragging rights. A phenomenal contest!
Match 3 Amber Phoenix vs Eva
The third contest at the brilliant Monica’s Wrestling Centre July 2024 live event presented an intriguing encounter between two British women with contrasting styles!
Eva is a staple on Pippa L’Vinn’s roster up in Manchester and an experienced wrestler but she was going to have her hands full with the strong muscley weight lifter Amber!
And from the start - and all the way through the first round, we could see this was going to be a titanic tussle between two powerful and skilled beauties as they dished out and took some serious punishment with the initiative swinging one way and then the other.
Their ability to withstand brutal attacks and stubbornness had us thinking we might not get any submissions - that is until an excellent camel clutch broke the resistance of one of the warriors towards the end of the round.
The break in between rounds didn’t deter either Amber or Eva as they simply picked up where they left off and immediately went straight back into badass battle mode resulting in the two scrapping to try to assert their authority over the other.
Things were good natured between the two but it was obvious that neither was holding back and both of them were desperate for victory.
We saw body scissors, arm bars, head locks, head scissors, face sits, breast smothers, grapevine pins, school girl pins, camel clutches and combination holds throughout the contest.
It felt like Eva and Amber were permanently locked in this brutal war and neither was willing to surrender easily as the contest reached its closing stages.
Both women earned tap outs in their favour but did this end up in yet another tight contest with the slimmest of victory margins or did the pair fight out a draw right to the bitter end? Buy this classic to find out!
Match 4 Kiniku v Kassidy
The glorious debutant Kimiku had delighted with her excellent performance in her tough opening contest of the Monica’s Wrestling Centre July 2024 live event against Nairobi.
But things weren't going to get any easier for her (Monica never goes easy on anyone - debutants or not!) as she faced off against the formidable wrestling icon Kassidy in this fourth contest of the day.
Kassidy actually arrived a little later than the other fighters but, as always, she looked primed and ready to rumble as she faced off against her new rivsl Kimiku.
And so it proved as the East Londoner immediately utilised her size advantage and put all her power and experience to good use by attacking Kimiku.
Kimiku was willing and certainly up for the battle but she was hit by the hurricane that her opponent was ready to unleash and soon found herself tapping out from a variety of moves as the first round wore on.
To her immense credit though, Kimiku never flinched or backed down and kept coming back throwing herself into the match and looking for an opening to bring her some success (well, apart from a hilarious moment when she decided to jokingly play a game of ‘catch me if you can!’).
However, Kassidy was in imperious form and she earned submissions through head locks, body scissors, arm locks and combination holds.
Kimiku, again to her immense credit, provided a funny running commentary whenever she found herself in a spot of bother but, on a more serious side, she also kept giving her all to fight out of holds and try to get on the offensive - which paid dividends on more than one occasion.
Her spirited effort won the hearts of the excited crowd but it was the powerhouse that is Kassidy who took home the spoils after this hugely entertaining contest!
Match 5 Brigit vs Luna K
The second half of the Monica’s Wrestling Centre’s scorching July 2024 live event presented us with an interesting and mouthwatering prospect between two beauties.
New Yorker Brigit had delighted with her debut performance earlier in the day but now she found herself pitted against the increasingly popular Welsh wonder that is Luna K.
Two very different kinds of wrestlers so we were eager to see how this one played out once the opening bell was rung and the action got under way!
It was the American who made a fast start and was immediately on the attack, hitting her Welsh rival with some blistering offence and making Luna battle hard while on the defensive.
But the spirited Luna has found herself in tight spots before and fought her way out of them and this was no different as she was soon showing Brigit how her pro-wrestling skills can come in handy here.
We once again found ourselves enjoying a thrilling back and forth contest with both ladies getting on the scoreboard and both showing immense mettle and determination not to concede more.
This set the pattern of the contest for the most part with both Brigit and Luna applying some painful looking holds only for both to end up frustrated as the other gritted her teeth and escaped them.
They fought hard and it was back and forth throughout the whole hard fought and sweaty contest with both ladies leaving everything they had in the Ring of Pain - whatever the outcome neither would be disappointed with the effort they put in!
Luna and Brigit fought with such intensity and ferocity - we even got to witness an unusual moment in history of tap outs at this event!
Eventually, one of these beauties did emerge victorious but both deserve the plaudits for a real classic!
Match 6 Petra vs Amber
The sixth match of Monica’s Wrestling Centre’s phenomenal July 2024 live event saw another match of contrasts as beauties Petra and Amber locked horns in the Ring of Pain.
Petra has the speed and flexibility while Amber has the power and muscles and with both possessing super skills, we knew this was going to be another entertaining match!
And sure enough, like most of the matches that had already taken place, this emerged as another back and forth encounter which saw both women enjoying moments on top as well as both women having to endure the pain of the other’s punishing moves!
Both Petra and Amber managed to get on the scoresheet in the very first round and the action didn’t relent at any point as they continued hunting for more tap outs as the contest continued.
As we often say, the endurance of fighters who take part in these live shows is as impressive as the attacking skills they often demonstrate and it was clear these two can withstand serious pressure when they need to.
But it would be unfair not to showcase their skills which saw them apply body scissors, arm bars, head locks, head scissors, grapevine pins and combination holds as they sought what would be an impressive victory.
They rolled around on the canvas exchanging blows with Amber and Petra both enjoying moments in the ascendency.
This continued, even into the final round, where neither showed any signs of fatigue (the pair had been in exciting but gruelling wars earlier in the day before they took each other on).
In fact the only thing that seemed to stop them was getting a stray hair in their mouths during the heat of the fight! They fought hard all the way but did either win or did they end up all square? Buy this to find out the answer!
Match 7 Eva vs Luna K
The penultimate match of Monica’s Wrestling Centre’s July 2024 live show had fabulous fun written all over it even before The Referee had called the combatants down to the Ring of Pain to do battle!
Exquisite Evan and luscious Luna K are both strong and super skilled pro-wrestlers but they know their way around this format of the sport too and they didn’t need reminding from Monica about what the task ahead of them was (Monica reminded them anyway!).
Sure enough, both beauties immediately gave us what we wanted to see and, like many of the matches we’d already been treated to, they engaged in an immediate back and forth contest.
Each woman had her moment on the attack and then on the receiving end and it took a vicious looking arm lock to break the deadlock in favour of one of them!
Much to all of our delights, conceding a point didn’t deter the victim and they were soon fighting hard all over the canvas once again. Even within the first round, both Eva and Luna scored a submission to set this u very nicely indeed!
And this pretty much continued throughout the fight as each enjoyed their moments in the ascendency.
They trapped each other in nasty looking head scissors, body scissors, arm bars, head locks, ankle locks schoolgirl pins, grapevine pins, cross body pins and combination holds as they sought to put the other away once and for all.
It was obvious that each lady was pushing themselves to the limit to secure an impressive victory and this resulted in both of them having to tap out and a close scoreline for most of the battle.
In the end though, one of them did emerge as winner (just about!) but both got hearty and well deserved cheers at the end!
Match 8 Nairobi vs Kassidy
And so to the final match of the pulsating Monica’s Wrestling Centre July 2024 live event which featured two absolute superstars who we knew would provide the fitting finale the fabulous event richly deserved.
However, beautiful Nairobi knew she had her work cut out as she was pitted against the intimidating force of nature that is gorgeous Kassidy, who is always in the mood to rumble when she steps into the Ring of Pain!
If Nairobi wasn't aware of the daunting task ahead of her, at least she had a few people outside of the ring telling her - much to her delight.
But she isn’t the type to sit there quietly and take her punishment. She never goes down without a fight and she was there and ready to scale the marvellous mountain Kassidy!
Sometimes, however, you can only climb so high no matter how much effort you put in and, as predicted, Kassidy immediately went on the attack to ply the pressure on to Nairobi!
It seemed as if the bigger lady would overcome her without breaking sweat when she got her first couple of submissions. But Nairobi had other ideas. She got knocked down and got up again.
And then she trapped Kassidy in a crushing body scissor that left her rival with no option but to submit!
Of course, this was only a fleeting moment but the cheers and hearty applause from those watching showed just how much they rated Nairobi’s fabulous spirit and hard work! And that certainly wasn't her only success of the contest either!
Both the ladies - not to mention the punters - clearly loved this hugely entertaining battle which lived up to the expectations of what a show closer is expected to deliver!
The result may not shock you but the hard fought, exceptional battle delivered big time!
