Things always get tasty when two talented fighters are pitted against one another to rumble in Monica’s Wrestling Centre’s restricted Mats of Doom Room.
And putting two very strong and very gifted women such as Jaki and Rapunzel in there was guaranteed to serve up a real treat when they got to grips with one another.
It was all smiles at the start of proceedings and there was a respectful handshake but once the serious business started we were treated to an exciting titanic battle which both of these warriors clearly wanted to come out on top of!
If either Jaki or Rapunzel were wondering what the other would bring, they soon found out in the opening minutes when both got to work and showed off their power to score an impressive submission each.
Game on and the two didn’t disappoint as they pushed each other to the limit with some punishing wrestling which clearly had an impact on each of them. There were plenty of times when lesser fighters than Rapunzel and Jaki would probably have succumbed but it took far more to unseat these warriors.
We saw body scissors, head locks, head scissors, arm bars, grapevine pins and combination holds as the two really went to town and did all they could to inflict as much damage as possible in pursuit of victory.
It was exciting back and forth stuff too as each time one looked like she was gaining control, the other would roar back and remind her she was still in this contest!
You could see the sheer agonising effort Rapunzel and Jaki were putting in just by the anguished looks both wore throughout this war as it drew to a finale.
Sadly it had to end. The two girls were clearly shattered but the respect following a brutal battle was clearly evident!
